I agree with Tar."Safe"(or not) is overused. We confuse it with having our feelings hurt, taking offense, being sensitive to something. If something makes you FEEL a certain way, it's not threatening your safety - especially when that person has no access to you beyond what YOU permit - which is the case with an online community. A threat to one's insecurities does not = unsafe. Let's put on our big girl/boy panties and deal with each other.
