It was very cramped inside, especially when you consider that around 20 sailors had to be in there to aim, load and fire the thing. Apparently it also got incredibly hot in there during operations.
There were lots of sharp protrusions and things you could snag your sleeve on sticking out from the walls and ceilings. You can always count on the military to make something so incredibly utilitarian and uncomfortable.
It doesn't look a whole lot different than modern ships.
