Marriage Fraud News Special

Marriage Fraud is a delicate yet serious issue here in Canada. Unscrupulous immigrants short-cutting their way through the Canadian immigration system and obtaining permanent resident status by being brought over by their spouse, only to leave them shortly after. This indeed raises problems with Canada as a nation, but what about the victims? In addition to losing what they though was love, they must pay the government for all welfare and other benefits paid to the deserting spouse for the next 3 to 10 years!

With this video, we hope to explore Marriage Fraud through the eyes of the victim. Discover and raise awareness on what is wrong with the immigration system, and what is being done, or can be done to prevent it.

I'm cyber dating a Malaysian girl but I'm not worried, she want's me to go to Malaysia but I doubt I will, I'm not rich and she knows that. I think there's less cases of intentional fraud than people think. It could be a case of these people just not liking each other once they have to live together. after all cyber dating is not the same as living together.

Marriage fraud does cause alot of emotional and financial pain. Even when a marriage of like citizens breaks down,the emotional and financial pain is there also!! I learned my lesson,admitted my mistake and payed dearly for it. Fraud marriages happen and not only with foreign spouses. Life is not easy and everyone takes risks,why can't people be accountable for their actions?

Because it's easier to whine and cry to the Government trying to get help for their own stupidity!!!!
