10:47 is that a portrait of Morei Uyeshiba on the wall?

Roy Dean has turned tapping out to his own students into an art form.

@johnm543. I've trained with a few cops who did BJJ. One of them was somewhere around a blue or purple belt and said he used BJJ in real situations. BJJ is great for self-defense too, though I think the more self-defense oriented techniques focus less on fighting on the ground and more on controls, sweeps, and throws. I think a law enforcement officer arm barring a suspect and breaking his arm might constitute excessive force in many cases, lol =)

All BJJ academies should be like this one. the student testing had great skills for a white belt.

yeah that was cool man. did a real good job. our promotions are in june ill be testing pretty soon for my blue belt. cant wait for the round robin

I like Roy Dean. He seems very nice on his videos.
Good stuff, the instructor reminds me of mine. Doesnt have an ego, purposely lets his students catch him for learning purposes. You have a great teacher!

I know it's his job, but I still feel bad for the instructor for constantly getting arm barred, triangle choked, and other submissions done to him. I wonder when I'll get my blue belt.
