the CTS-V is more comparable to the m5--they both are midsize cars.(the CTS-V still wins), the true competitor to the m3 will be the ATS-V. I can't wait to see it!

@Konformation07 i can accept that, but you know bmw will glance at some cadillac technology just to see how it all sums up. but see gm, ford, and chrysler all laughed at honda and toyota coming into the market and soon what do ya know they are almost wiped out. im not saying cadillac will single handed, but maybe it can influence more american car companies to focus on the european/ asian competitors. i know gm and ford are working on it.

@mmmmhonda Actually on the contrary, BMW is not looking up to Cadillac. Cadillac focused on beating BMW. BMW didn't give them a second thought. BMW has always focused in on MB and Audi. Now, Cadillac has BMW's attention from a performance perspective. Nothing else, though. It's not like BMW are shaking in their boots because Cadillac is isn't winning any BMW buyers over for the most part. BMW and Cadillac buyers are different.

The only reason Cadillac competes, is because they're the first American car company to take a European approach to sports cars. Instead of just jamming over-sized, overheating non aspirated motors into completely unbalanced cars for the sake of more horsepower, 'ehhem ford mustang ehhem' Cadillac focused on a balanced suspension system for all that raw power, and look where it got them. Bravo.
