A video game based on the Japanese movie Koneko Monogatari, known in English as The Adventures of Milo and Otis or The Adventures of Chatran. It was released exclusively in Japan for the Famicom Disk System, which is an add-on for the Japanese NES (called the Famicom as a short for Family Computer) which uses proprietary floppy disks. So it can be considered a NES game on a floppy disk. The Disk System also had an additional sound hardware with primitive FM synthesis capabilities potentially giving better sound for games. This one particular game had major flaws, it is really slow and laggy, although the controls answer in time, but it's also not really fun or entertaining at all. I can't recommend it to anyone and I bet it would be hard to get since you'd need the floppy on which it came, the Famicom and the Disk System which were all Japan exclusives. I guess that you're probably seeing this game for the first time, believe me when I say you weren't missing anything before.

  • I always thought this game was strange, and that the music and sounds were rather raucous. Oddly enough, "Koneko Monogatari"/"Adventures of Milo & Otis" was developed by the exact same people who made "Dr. Chaos" and "Phantom Fighter", both of which were also released in North America. "Dr. Chaos" was originally released on Famicom Disk, and "Phantom Fighter" was put on Famicom cartridge as "Reigen Doushi".

  • @ApacheMan2K I played Dr. Chaos in the past, not a very good game in my opinion. Doesn't seem like these developers have much talent.

  • This game impressed me for one thing, it's how elastic the trees' foliage moves when strained.

  • @schtolteheim I agree, this is one good aspect of this game.

  • I want it on my psp ! but without the histeric sound lol

  • I guess you have no other choice but to turn the sound off then. It's really weird what they did with this game.

  • Why didn't this video game get released in the USA? It would be perfect for Wii and/or DS!

  • ...MY EARS!

God, this game didn't use the FM synthesis at all! There's nothing this game accomplished that couldn't have been done on the Famicom itself, so why'd they bother?

  • OMG!!!! en realidad existe un juego d esta pelii!!!!..... mi infancia a vueltoo!!! T_T

  • @DarkEvil87 Or experience, probably. Or a budget. Who knows? The only redeeming factor with the Japanese version of "Dr. Chaos" is that since it's a Famicom Disk game, you're allowed to save your game, rather than resorting to put in a password.

  • A Milo and Otis video game? Wow.

  • @DarkEvil87 In all honesty though, it doesn't seem like that bad a game... but that music is awful.
