Yes, I know. I'v heard it called gridiron, but, everyone just calls it football, sans American.
People don't understand the game, and we never attempt to explain it to the curious.
It's like Americans with Soccer, my favorite sport. Most of the people here just think people are kicking a ball around aimlessly. It's because of their lack of understanding.

I'm a huge fan of association football, but I also have a lot of respect for American Football. It's not only a game of strength and speed, but of strategy. It may seem complicated to people who don't follow it, but the objective it just like any of the other foot-based games. Unlike the others, American Football team only get 4 tries to progress 10 yards. This requires teams to utilize different plays, and have more specialization among their players. It's a more structured form of football.

GB football is obviously not as well funded as some (all?) of the other national teams. The GB players are wearing their own helmets as worn for their club teams.

wow that was total domination but I can't believe that you guys ran up the score with the fake field goal. I guess just to see if it works and it did.. Well done.

It wasn't a fake field goal. The snap was wide left and the qb did not have enough time to bring it down... so he went for it.
