Yes, I definitely noticed Kate was not in her seat and no mention she was on vacation or assignment. I will miss her reporting, always smiling, up-beat approach and her warm and friendly manner.
Good-bye and most of all… God Bless, stay safe and Good Luck in whatever you do.
I noticed Mary Calvi sitting in this week and no mention of Kate being on vacation. That's when I realized she must have left the station.
Did anyone else notice that Kate hardly ever sat up straight? She always rested an elbow on her chair and sat at an angle. I remember once she was sitting at such an acute angle she was practically positioned at 45 degrees. LOL. I thought perhaps she had a bad back, or was in pain or something. I'll miss her bad posture. :-)
I can't believe Kate left WCBS. I'll definitely miss her here in New York :( She seems to personify like, the All-American anchorwoman - even her own name emotes a certain feel of Americana - "Kate Sulivan" :)
I watch every morning at 5AM. DuBois is so refined but he also has an excellent, sly sense of humor. Sullivan is extremely telegenic, and rarely (Ok, never) mispeaks. Elliot, on weather, is a pretty dominant presence on the newscast. Why is that?
I agree with you signorgelato. Once you get used to the anchor team they have on Channel 2, they hurry up and change it. Then they wonder why they are in 3rd Place in the ratings. I'm still trying to get used to seeing Chris Wragge as a anchor. And Maurice got hosed by CBS 2. He should have remained the anchor during primetime. Well see how things go throughout 2007.
I'd really like to see Maurice DuBois get his due in a more prime time hour--he's got a sardonic humor that is pleasant to experience. Why WCBS-TV brass elevated "Golden Boy" Chris Wragge from sportscaster to 5 and 11pm anchor is questionable. His personality has nothing special (nepotism?). Did they also jettison loveable Audrey Puente in favor of this new, bespectacled strawberry blonde guy? What is going on there at CBS? They play the anchors lately like pawns in a chess game!!!
@Linda0847 Kate starts next week as the primetime anchor at CBS2 in Chicago.
