Road Test: Lexus HS250h

As reported on Autoline Daily, John recently had some time behind the wheel of the latest Lexus hybrid, the HS 250h. This new model is a first not only for the company, but the industry as well. Its the only dedicated luxury hybrid out there. Here are some of Johns thoughts about the segment-founding vehicle.

@flatblackstrat hey stupidass if he wanted to say X5 he wouldve said X5. The X5 doesnt have the notch he was talkn about as prominentaly as the X3 and X1 do, I dont think you know what ur talkn about. Check out X1 on Wikipedia.

@Enzo20061234 Plenty of people buy the small BMW 3-series and MB C-class, so why not a small Lexus too? It's too bad though this thing only comes as a hybrid and is based on teh Corolla. It sorta looks like a gussied up Corolla. Not good. Plus, the fuel economy is actually 1mpg worse than the new Hyundai Sonata. This car is only good for city drivers where it'll really benefit from its hybrid system. Driven on the highway, it's a absolute waste of money and technology.

This isn't what Lexus should be doing, Lexus should only put hybrid systems in their full size cars like GS and LS, or the RX SUV. This HS250h is just as compact as a family car, and who would buy a Lexus as a small family car?
