  • you can make lightweight wings with that net-like cloth, and some kind of insect eyes or antennas for the eye muscles

  • Since the SMA doesn't retract at the same speed with with it contracts, you should add counter-muscles for the "releasing" movement, much like the muscles on the top of your forearm flex to open your hand wide, and the ones on the bottom of your arm flex when to make a fist.
