  • Rns they redirect the traffic from you hosting domain name to your new one so no old traffic is lost, i just did it and still have all my traffic and page rank. :)

  • is it ok if you buy a domain name from blogspot (the 10$ a year domain)

  • I am willing to bet that this guy is gay LOL....

  • I registered my blog with my own custom domain yesterday because of this video. Thanks!!!!

  • @andrea22borman thank you very helpful

  • Owning your domain basically means what it says. You own your blog not Blogger or Wordpress and of course you have a greater choice of website address. Also search engines are some times more willing to index your site quicker, than if you are not hosting on your own domain. Also you can change where you host it and host in on for e.g. Wordpress or other if you wish. Andrea.

  • @andrea22borman what does owning your own domain give you

  • Watched all 5 - I am SO glad I found your vids before I set this up... Thank you!!!

  • I agree with you.The easiest and best way to have a website or blog on custom domain is through Blogger. As they set it all up for you.You do not have to do anything such as mapping or point your domain to your blog as you have to with some other sites. Also it is so cheap.I now have 6 blogs on Blogger-all on my own domain! I recomend Blogger to anybody as the service is great. Andrea.

  • Hey Andy, thanks. This makes perfect sense. However, I'm still getting my feet wet so I'm not ready to purchase. Can you only purchase for one year at a time?
