Chris Ochun prepares this wonderful dish of Amala Ila to the King Chango. This Special offering is one of his favorites. The Preparation of this dish has a process and the version that is seen here is one of my own ways. The ingredients that are in this dish is: Okra sliced and whole Sauteed with Palm Oil(epo), salt, pimenta guinea added to a Corn Meal Porridge (GOYA). and seasoned with some salt and pepper. A dish is also prepared and given to Eleggua first. This dish is a very common dish made in the Lucumi/Afro Cuba Orisha Worship. I want to remind that there are other versions or ways of making this dish and in no way is this "the only way". For instance some add to the OKRA-with some sazon accent or goya and tomato sauce and sauteed it.
I want to thank Leo, El Nino, and all those at Ibu Oro Inc. whom have motivated me to want to do this, especially for my godkids. I am also preforming these videos for my ownself as a practice to creating these wonderful Adimu dishs to the Orishas. There are some ingredients that where not seen in the process here such as the placing of the Honey to the Corn Meal Porridge. But its there lol. I hope you guys like the video, and many blessings and ashe from the highest. Maferefun Chango. Ase O.
