no. "Terra" means earth, hence terra firma, terraform, etc. we are terrans, because we leave on earth. It's a rather more poetic version of Earthling.

@jh64487 Sorry to say this but terran is actually a real term technically speaking we are terrans as the root terra means Earth and other words terraform and and other words with the root Terra have something to do with the Earth. Terraform means to make Earth-like Note that Terra means Earth

Pointy ears are traits of the royal/imperial family. As for the other people in Baron Febdash, they are likely subjects of the Abh empire, such as those in Jinto's homeworld in the Hydral star system.
