You will learn how to balance simple redox reaction by using the "half-reaction method."

  • This video is super special awesome amazingly helpful!

The only thing that confused me is when you showed how in oxidation the number goes up and in reduction the number goes down. When my teacher taught this to us he used OIL RIG so isn't it Oxidation Is Loss and Reduction Is Gain?

Is that for charger or...I don't know. Redox Equations are so confusing.

You are really good at explaining things and breaking them down. You would make an awesome teacher.

    Thank you so much.

  • @hitari13 When we say OIL RIG, we are focusing on gaining or losing of electrons. This could be confusing for students. Therefore I like to use increasing or decreasing oxidation numbers for oxidation and reduction, respectively.

I am glad that you find the tutorials helpful for you. Share with you friends if they have similar struggle or confusion.

  • i love the way he says redox reaction........ wedox weaction

  • i'm a sophomore and have been struggling with chemistry, but this really cleared things up. thank you so much!

  • you are the best! i learned more here than i ever did in class. please keep making videos. if your good at geometry try that((: make a website. l0l((: thankyouu.

  • Thank you SO much! I'm finally starting to understand. :)

  • thanks so much

  • I LOVE YOU MR CHAN!

  • @rhonin93 the flow of electrons is the definition of electricity thus would proabably be a big part of electrochemistry :P
