1 of my subscribers: http://www.youtube.com/ElectronTeacher ,
sent me a couple of "bugs." One was unassembled, so Jeff and I put it together and had a couple of drag races with them in the dark. I snuck the faster "eeprom" chip (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory) in when Jeff wasn't looking and beat him bad!
( J Tiberius Kirk did it too) but I decided to tell Jeff anyway, and we had a run off race.

"Do you know what the snail said to the other snail while sitting on a turtle's back, just as the turtle started to move?
"Hold on, here we go!"

These robot bugs are very educational, use common parts from old servos, and Radio Shack.
They would make a great science project for any age. They are also very fun to play with.

The kit came with complete and thorough instructions and software to program the chip. I am impressed and my hat is off to you Reuben. Thanks for the fun while we wait out the winter up here.

Mr. Reuben Rowan is the Electron teacher on youtube and welcomes email to ask him about his projects or kits. He is rrrowan@yahoo.com

Thanks for watching and subscribing.

  • Hey, they are talking about your bug on TV news, saying how it could be used to aid in rescues.

At least it looks like your little bug and moves the same way.
