  • Thanks, I welcome the advice. I got to say that this plane is a lot faster than I expected. I since took it in too strong of wind (for what I can hsndle) and ended up cart wheeling in gravel on a botched landing.

The port wing took a beating but is still usable. I made a trip to the local hobby shop and picked up a new wing just in case this one gives in.

If you have more tricks to pass on plesae do...

  • it's because you're not throwing it right.

    That never happens to me...

  • how do you fly the aerobird upwind? do you supposed to launch it to the direction of the wind?

  • It's either the wind coming in from the side as the plane is launched, or the lack of lift over the wings allowing the torque from the motor to twist the fuselage. Once she gets some speed up, the wing lift can resist the motor torque.

  • how come every time you hand launch a plane it tilts off to one direction for a few seconds? It always happens to me and I hate it.

  • Nicely done! I just ordered one of those the other day because I got my Super Cub stuck in a tree! Happy flying!

  • nice landing! When i saw you launch this thing i thought it was gunna crash but thank god for elevaters. Also, can you do barrel roles?

  • Damn, I wrecked 10+ planes (hand built, though) before even getting airborne, you did it in one. Well done. If you do it everytime, very well done. Keep posting, we'll watch out for you.

    Oh, and thanks for sharing!!

  • You're a natural! You even held it a few feet off deck like a pro. Well done!

  • Here is some advice, I have one and it is a great plane by the way.

never fly it less than 100 feet from the ground, you are asking for a crash.

never fly it directly over your head

take offs from the ground are safer, you can take serious wing damage from hand launches

    always fly upwind

move up to figure eights then you will be in good shape
