I'm not claiming all-out Socialism is the answer, but I am saying our current system (Corporate Plutonomy-Capitalism) obviously doesn't work. So it either needs to be heavily revised or replaced with something new. A lot of peoples' problem with Socialism is they don't like the idea of the gov't telling them where they can work, how much they'll get paid, etc. But what if instead of the gov't calling all the shots, the public got educated on basic politics-->>

For instance, many people are fed up with unregulated capitalism, and I'm one of them (actually I wouldn't cry if capitalism was abandoned completely.) But what takes its place? Socialism? These system hasn't worked perfectly in other countries, but that may be because corruption entered the frame. No matter what system you use to run a country (or state or county or resturaunt for that matter), it will turn into utter chaos if the wrong people get in power. Strong LOYAL leaders are a must

Look back in history and you'll see that in every single noble movement in history throughout the world, the good guys eventually came out on top. You want proof there is a God? There it is.

People need to realize though, there needs to be an actual PLAN for which direction this country should be steered towards BEFORE they take to the streets and protest/revolt/boycott/whateve­r.

@malanb5 He's not the only one, but he's the most popular one (and certainly one of the brightest). There are many well-educated people out there who care and have big ideas, but what most of those people do is form little activist groups that never grow more than 5-20 members strong (and therefore can get nothing accomplished), or they work alone and write blogs that no one ever reads because these people aren't amous, they're "nobodies". What needs to happen is progrssives need to join forces.
