I have seen Egyptians destroy brand new earthmoving equipment in months despite repeated attempts to explain how to maintain and service them. I was having dinner in Cairo with some Egyptians and asked why everybody walks in the road and was given the reply "because the footpaths are broken" So I said why not fix the footpaths and was told "why bother. everybody walks in the road". The middle east is the home of the greatest practitioners of circular logic the world has ever known
