I've asked my friend, who knows a lot on electrics and bikes, if removing the resistor is a good idea. He told me this can actually produce a worse spark: "with resistor in place, the spark is slightly weaker, but the duration is longer, giving better ignition". I haven't found a real explanation of this mod's benefits. This mod is one of the well-known "Gordon Mods", but Gordon could have been wrong. It'd be great to make a couple of dyno runs with and without the resistor, and compare them...

if it gets too hot, it could burn a hole threw your piston.. did you notice any difference?
