This is great surveillance video of an EF-1 tornado that passed through a scrap yard in the Kola community of Collins, MS. The max width was 50 yards, path was 0.3 miles. The max winds were 95mph
@Iamnutsy By the direction it's moving. This has already been proven.Say this tornado going NE.Well, because Tornadoes in the northern hemisphere rotate counter clockwise, combined with it's forward movement, windspeeds are more intense on the right side than the left.
@twilliams1755 Well, it is accurate depending on what you're measuring. The EF scale is based on damage, and this is considered "weak" damage. Which is amazing if you think about it. It even lifts that car at the end.
@Runningonbrains Enhanced Fujita is not extraordinarily accurate, as it is based off of damage, not actual wind speed. (That is to say, they estimate the wind speed based on the damages.)

@kdolo100 Eh, how does one define the "right side" of a tornado?
Iamnutsy 4 months ago
The right side of tornado is always the strongest.
