Rush "The Camera Eye": Drums!

Pffeww! A much requested song... This is in fact the first Rush song I ever tried to play on a drumkit, back in 1982... I LOVE this song and I just wish they would play it again!!! I had lots of trouble with the synchro on this one (so you can hear some small dips in the sound) + it's a bit short at the end to meet the 10 min limit of YT. Not perfect but this one drove me crazy!! Enjoy!

I could listen to this song 50000 times and not get tired of it!! in fact, I think I have... and I'm not tired of it yet :-)

@Paulk9pg Thanks! I had not seen that. Very cool. You can tell Neil was a little bit out of balance there - the 13" tom is his most used tom in his arsenal. Equipment problems can be a nightmare but he did well. TCE is also one of my all time favorites!

Just got back from a Rush gig in London. The only difference between you and Neil is that Neil makes it look so easy...I guess that's why we all love him, right?

@schirmmutze I wish it was true. The main - and huge difference - between Neil and me is that he created all of that stuff. He is a creative genius, with the chops coming with it. I'm just a bum interpreting his stuff, nothing more.

@pbonney No, I'm quite dumb in fact. ;) I got my M.Sc and Ph.D in Quebec City. Being a scientist is ok but it has its challenges (like finding the time to play the drums...). Pauliewanna is a good YT friend.

WOW that is just Great! You can hear the drums better than in the original and they are spot on! never thought I would EVER prefer listening to a cover over an original- awesome!!
