WECT-TV Channel 6, Wilmington, NC-Signoff from June 1994

This week's clip appears by request. It features the United States Navy BLUE ANGELS Flight Demonstration Squadron SSB clip performed by the U.S. Navy Band. The sign-off is preceded by some community announcements and former NBC Nighty News anchor Tom Brokaw (now host of NBC's Meet The Press) doing a promo for a upcoming WECT public forum special. This was recorded during another one of my vacations at Surf City, North Carolina.

That circle 6 logo from WECT-TV was used until 1995. It is the same design, and was also used by CBS affiliate WRGB(in Schenectady, New York, which COULD BE the world's first TV station), from 1974 until January 25, 1998.
