This is jewelry that was sold on ebay as .925 Sterling Silver, but it is not more than "silver" plated copper. Many gems were listed as amethyst, peridot and citrine, but are no more than colored quartz. Some of the jewelry exibits signs of high lead content in the metal (white powdery tarnish). All of the jewelry looks as though plated in "german silver" (fake) and the artificial antique tarnish if nothing more than black paint. Don't assume that just because it is stamped ".925" that it is sterling silver. Buyer Beware!

How to spot fake sterling jewelry.
How to detect german silver.
Fake .925 sterling silver jewelry.

  • It is really simple for the most part...if the bid is low, the shipping is high, consider it a fake. And if it is from china, that's your risk. Common sense can prevail, like a 2 dollar bid on a "sterling" bracelet.

  • u can easily reveal if gemstones are fake or not, just to use giant slege hammer.

if it breaks, means its fake, if not its real :P

  • @silvercomix not all scammers are from the Far East. Evil exist everywhere... You should have said never trust anyone online! :-P

  • @sarjaylake you still kept buying from the same seller?

  • i thought ebay reimbursed buyer for abuse and misrepresentation from seller? I only purchase products in the US and definately not from any asian country.

  • NEVER buy ANYTHING from the Chi-Coms !

  • boochieboy814...what silver refinery did you sell to? I have a bunch of wholesale items as well....

  • I got scammed buying a wholesale lot of "sterling" rings on Ebay from a China seller. It was all plated garbage that turned people's fingers green. Luckily, I sold it all to a silver refinery and got my money back. Stay away from "too good to be true" deals on Ebay.

  • Look at the price if it sounds too good to be true it is. I was thinking of buying silver chains from china, but the price they are at make no sense at all they may be plated with silver. Avoid buy all jewelry gems and precious metals antiques coins from the far east. You will get scamed.

  • I Have had so many problems with this same seller, BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!

Missing, damaged jewellery and no refund, now they are calling me a thief and a lyer since I left negative feedback.

Interestingly, they now have made their feedback private and currently have no items for sale.

MANY THANKS TO YOU FOR WARNING OTHERS :)
