Bethany Adoption Agency Racist Propaganda Film

This is a slick, well produced, propaganda film that plays on the innate fears of inadequacy that all parents experience. In most of the states that Bethany operates in all that is needed to take a baby is for the mother to sign away her rights, fathers no matter how dedicated, are then shut out of the entire legal process by adoption agencies that illegally hide the children, and then the children are "adopted out"against their will. Hence these film aim to scare and steer unwed mothers into signing away their rights by convincing unwed mothers that both they and the child's father are stupid oafs and that any decision except to adopt the child out is horribly selfish and childish.

Girls don't let them fool you, the people that want to adopt your child are practicing the horribly selfish and childish practice of taking a distraught womans child away from her rather than instead trying to help she and the child's father raise the child that God gave them. Plus, they are not related to the child. Think that won't matter to the child? Lets be realistic. In a world where biology seems to matter so little its time we all looked back at the pains in the butt we were as teenagers and asked ourselves " how would my parents have reacted to my crap if I hadn't been their own flesh and blood?

Bethany Christian Services is one of the largest child trafficking organizations in the United States. It has no affiliation with any church and while it may have a Christian sounding name, it is not a Christian organization and has never been anything other than an adoption agency. According to the Bethany Services website:

"Bethany has an annual budget exceeding $70 million a year and is funded through contributions, fees for service, and government contracts. As a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, financial contributions are tax-deductible."

With $70 million a year, all tax free, over half coming from government contracts, Bethany proves every year that not-for-profit can still be pretty profitable. This well produced, racist, propaganda video features actresses and actors that pose as birth parents and always drive home the message that the best thing for children is for their foolish natural parents to realize they are incompetent --especially if they are from a minority race, and give them up.

Why wouldn't Bethany want to ruthlessly encourage this message? Lets face it, $70 million a year don't grow on trees.

Personally, I think people wanting to give up their children, be it abortion or adoption, are selfish and childish. They act as if their bright, shiny, majestic future is going to be aborted, no pun intended, by having to raise a child. True, some people are not fit to raise children. But those people should be sterilized or made infertile. The riff-raff and scum of society tend to have the most children. Needs to stop.

The racist part is at 1:29 where the black actress is scripted to say "normally in my ethnic group peopo just go head, and it'll work itself out." That statement really does seem to paint black Americans as stupid idiots with child-like mentalities. And those lines are designed to play on prejudices and portray single mothers-- especially non-white mothers as dogs, cause you might feel bad about taking a baby from mom, but not a dog.

Well look at the black community. 70-80% of births are illegitimate and out of wedlock. The fathers abandon the family to pursue the street life and prison. Alot of single mothers keep having children to generate extra welfare checks. You can call it "racist" all you want but its the truth and the facts support it. you can't pick up a newspaper anymore without seeing ads placed by couples wanting to adopt outside of an agency, selling themselves to frightened pregnant women. i especially loathe it when they describe themselves as 'deserving.' great big giant BITCHSLAP out to you! shame on you! there are some happy stories, but there has been a media blackout of the dark side of this industry. yeah, well, as usual, FOLLOW THE MONEY!

bethany also recruited me to come and speak with pregnant women living at some facility they ran. you see the pregnant women were having second thoughts about placing and they wanted me to help them see that placing with them turned out to be good for my daughter and for me. i was also asked to speak at a christmas dinner in front of adoptive parents. i lost it. i just wanted to scream. i did not give them the nice speach they were hoping for. got some dirty looks from the aduience.

i placed with them more than 25 years ago. i think i still have the letters that prove they were less than ethical. you see, i had changed my mind at the last minute because i had offers of help. my case worker lied and told me my daughter had been placed already. then she wrote again saying she was sorry and that she'd lied, but it was because of the timing my daughter's placement. ooops, and god wouldn't let her get away with lying. she told me i'd just love my daughters new parents.....

I disagree that people who give up their children for adoption are necessarily selfish. A child does best in a two-parent household with a father and mother who have a stable marriage and can provide for all of the child's needs.

Where is your proof that this is scripted? That these are merely actors? We currently are working with Bethany, and love them. I also personally know a birthmother who would attest to the fact that these are true birthmothers.

Oh, and there is nothing selfish about walking into a hospital, giving birth, and leaving empty handed. Birthmoms hardly do that for themselves.
