Having been an object of interest for a long time, and often deemed difficult to create, here it is.
Instead of trying this with custom blocks (which really WOULD be overcomplicated), I made a patch that allows you to make any Map16 tile you wish vulnerable to explosions (exploding Bob-Ombs, technically). By default, I decided to make tiles 11E and 048 (turn block tiles that can spin) vulnerable, as well as 12E (throw block) and 300 (as an example that tiles beyond 1FF can be used as well). The latter two are not shown in this video though.

edit: Note that the screen CAN flicker if too many blocks are destroyed at once. This is fixed in the version available at SMWCentral though.

Nice! Does it actually check the sprite number (so custom sprites not set to act like 0D wouldn't work)?
