Arsis is an American death metal band from Virginia Beach, Virginia, formed in 2000. Although remaining as heavy as traditional death metal bands, they also possess complex riffs and solos that are similar to those found in both melodic and technical death metal. This is recorded on Tuesday 3 November 2009 at Atak Enschede, Holland.

  • @DerCorny i dont know if he still does. i can ask him. but i have been seeing nick perfom since 2004 when he was in thismeansyou and he used a jcm 900 with mild distortion. originaly also using gothic gibson les paul. and his custom jackson

  • what kind of camera are you filming this with?

  • @rthavi That´s not because of the high guitar volume, it´s because of the camera sound quality. Due to the volume of the instruments in the gig the camera can´t record all frequencies properly. If were actually there, you would have heard the drums easily.

  • haha iv seen these guys live :) i live in virginia beach

but not many people know about them here

they are a band that is slept on and thats what makes them amazing as fuck

  • Diamond for disease. Longest yet took me awhile to realize its over 13minutes long

  • he was probly standing in front of one guitar amp. amps are extremely directional with sound.

The better sound at a live show (at a smaller venue like that) is generally near the pit or even better (if the music is too loud) towards the back.

This is a live vdeo shot on a decent camcorder, be ecstatic that it sounds this good

  • James' guitar needs to be way louder. still a cool video though.

  • Great stuff.

  • Awesome.
