Helmet cam footage of kayaking the South Branch of the Baker in New Hampshire. Paddler is Sam and others in the video are Lee, Brendan, and Deb. Video wasn't on for the fun run down the mill rapid above the Rocky Branch confluence. Make sure you scout that one for wood and check out the undercut on bottom river right.

Second paddle with GoPro HD 960 using R3 mode (1280x960) with a front mount on the helmet. Sound is a little messed up so I may re-upload.

  • Hey! Nice Video! Im actually buying the Hero 960 tomorrow as theyre on sale! Cant wait to try it out although its just going to be a surf session as rivers are frozen here in Canada and its -6 celsius and a swim would definately suck! Seems like you had nice weather in NH this November! What program are you using to edit!? I was also wondering what the song was!?

  • @JeeKayak Thanks! Yeah it was 40-50 degrees F I think and mostly sunny. I used Neoscene to convert to AVI for editing in Adobe Premiere Pro. The MP4 files the gopro outputs are pretty compressed and bad for editing. Song is Mt Eden - Sierra Leone. Have fun with the GoPro.

  • cool video. Looks like a great little river to run.

I just got a the GoPro HD Hero a few weeks ago and still getting used to it. I Haven't had mine in the water yet, but I've read if you put a little rain-x on the outter lens it'll help with the water spots.
