We beg for this kind of stuff ever Saturday morning back in the 70's after watching these commercials. They worked because we always got 'em. Every other weekend a different box of cereal. Now you feel guilty if you buy this crap for kids.

so they had this and vanilla flavored captain crunch. I feel cheated out of my childhood now, i would have loved to taste these.

What a commercial this is. I am gonna put a picture of this cereal on my next video. Cap'n Crunch, my favorite cereal character...and I have never met the hippo with the Bullwinkle voice before until now.

NOBODY told Jay Ward how to produce his commercials- especially Quaker Oats, who trusted his judgment for over 20 years. If they told him to produce a commercial for a new cereal called "Cap'n Crunch's Punch Crunch", he'd come up with "Harry Hippo" (a lovable "big lummox", with Bill Scott's patented "Bullwinkle" voice), and the hell with innuendoes about his sexual preferences! He's selling cereal, not SEX! Alas, neither "Punch Crunch" or Harry really caught on...
