@EffortlessSwimming I have included this kind of drill on my practices since a couple of months ago. I use this drill, esp when I begin to feel that I find problem with my body rotation. The other kind of drill I often use is a variation of one arm freestyle in which the non-stroking arm is extended.

Does the other arm (say the left arm) have to be placed alongside the body (not freely placed anywhere) when one arm (say the right arm) is doing the catch and recovery ? When I do my single arm drill, I only focus on one side; for example, when I practice my right arm stroke, I focus on the catch, pull of my right arm, right side body rotation, 3 beat kick, breathing and right arm recovery without considering my left side of the body and arm.

@lexsoft Keep your other arm by your side and work on your shoulder rotation, getting your opposite shoulder out of the water
