The Stuxnet computer virus is a worm designed to control, modify and potentially destroy specific Siemens SCADA systems and has infected more than 90,000 computers to date.

A third of the Stuxnet computer virus infections have taken place in Iran and some of the computers within the Bushehr Nuclear facility have reportedly been infected.

Is this a false flag cyber attack that is designed to provide justification for Iran to launch a pre-emptive kinetic attack on Israel?

****This video was made to show the danger of reporting something when there is no evidence to support it. There is just as much evidence to support the Iran/Russia false flag theory (i.e. no evidence at all) as there is to support the theory that the US and/or Israel perpetrated the cyber attack.

Mainstream media outlets are reporting headlines like "US and Israel attack Iran with computer virus" despite the fact that there is absolutely zero evidence to suggest this. In fact, because the virus was delivered by a USB drive and NOT by any kind of remote access, the only evidence in this case is that someone PHYSICALLY WITHIN IRAN delivered the virus. If anything, this only serves to cast doubt on the theory that a Western nation state perpetrated the attack.

This video demonstrates what can be done with a few scary images, some hyperbole and a loosely correlated set of "facts".

Don't buy into what the media is telling you. There are many motives that would lead a person or nation to do something like this. In the case of Stuxnet, there is no actual proof connecting ANYONE to the attack.****

No, I am not jewish and I could care less about any Middle Eastern country for that matter. But thanks for asking.

  • Excellent video and information regarding Stuxnet. Great background on Microsoft and in the separate motivations of Russia and Iran. While the recent China attacks are also troublesome, it only stands to include China who supplies the worlds parts and electronics could be trying to affect future supplies of needed parts that would be critical in any war. Good video. Keep at it.

  • @gadzometer 3) The virus can only operate outputs or read inputs. Without the writer of the virus having intimate knowledge of a specific facility and the process loops, the virus can only operate random outputs or prevent them from operating. The best you could do is look for commonly used tag names in our industry and hope that they may perform the same action. But every client has their own tag naming convention.

  • Hi Mate, A couple of comments:

    1) WinCC is the Control System for these facilities but is not in control of any safety systems. This is done with SIL rated PLCs or devices.

    2) How does it seek out and control specific types of plants? The IEC-1131-5 programming language in the PLCs, all images in the HMIs and all points are stored in a database and every single facility is different. There is no way for the system itself to know what type of plant it is installed on.

  • Great video
