Stranded knitting is made easy and quick with one yarn held in each hand. This technique is aimed at English (American) style knitters and is a snap to learn. Try this method for color work in socks or fair isle knitting.

  • Could someone please post a video for casting these stitches on? I don't want the solid bottom part. I really want to do this but don't know how i should cast these on.

  • @BlueElCamino1970 Use the long tail cast on method and follow the color pattern as you cast on with both colors. This is an example for a simple k2 in Color A knit 2 in Color B pattern: *cast on 2 stitches with Color A, cast on 2 stitches with Color B; repeat from the * until required # of stitches are on the needle.

  • and...the back?we have to make it how

  • @edelwinful Stranded knitting is often done in the round so there is not need to work the back. If you are knitting flat, this side must be purled. Check out my Purl Stitch - continental style to purl with two hands. I hope I have helped. Happy knitting!
