Multitasking on an iPhone (mockup - from 2009)

Sorry about the bad quality.
I believe that this would be the best way to multitask on an iPhone. It is very similar to the Expose function in Mac OS X Leopard. In the video, it shows opening multiple applications, being able to switch between them very simply(by double clicking the home button), and showing how to quit an application.

i could probably see them doing something similar to this in the not too distant future... its one the features of the pre that has the edge over the iphone... although the iphone still kicks its ass :)

Actually, they haven't said they'll never do, only that they need a powerful enough processor to do it right.  I have no doubt, to remain competitive, the iPhone OS 4.0 will have multi-tasking.
