Today's tip: CREATE SPACE to SCORE! We get tons of questions asking how to make contested shots, but our philosophy is that you should strive to take open shots. To do that you need to be able to create space and get some separation from your defender. There's many ways to make this happen (and we've made many videos on the subject), but you have to get into this mindset to really become a scoring threat!

Please Check out all of our videos and send Shot Science to ALL of your Friends and Family! JOIN OUR TEAM and help us grow!!!

See you next week!!

  • I hate shooting open shots because it would be sooo embarrassing if I miss it! especially when it's close...

  • @itsMUSICY Don't miss!!!!!! Just teasing.

  • @itsMUSICY

Practice your shots, try not to be nervous under the pressure of missing. Think about it, not everyone makes their shots in.

  • @30sProductions This is good advice! A good shooter will probably shoot about 35 to 40% from 10' out to the 3 line. This means that you will miss 5 or 6 out of 10 shots.

  • @tingy30 Thanks. We do have very few, except for one day when we were featured and the "Haters" came out. Obviously not Ballers!

  • I watched the three pointer videos and I would like it if you guys would clarify something for me. When I shoot close range shots I feel sensation in my arm. However when I shoot far away shots I don't feel the sensation in my legs. After training myself to use my legs, I started to feel sensation there. This started to affect my shot. Close range shots started to become difficult as well. Please help me. Thank you.

  • @tingy30 someone disliked it

  • @killaseason561 This is probably true!! Good Call!

  • @ShotScience lol i know right but i call the dislike bar the troll detector

  • @YuhGnomeSain Officials often call this if the arm extend upward behind you above your waist.
