  • What a Joke, ".Avi is Larger" , No it's not. .avi is a compressed version of mpeg encoding. Usually using quite high audio range aswell. .WMV is for noobs like you who don't know any better and HAVE to use Microsoft encoding because ITS THE ONLY THING YOU KNOW. Learn something and then make another video.

  • @Landsiedel9 This tutorial is five years old, for one. Second, as I said in the video, or, rather, as I mean to say now, .wmv is a nice format to use if you are in a hurry, and, typically, .avi files ARE larger, because of their compression. Like many viewers have commented on my newer tutorials, AVCHD, MP4, and H.264 rendering with MPEG2 is recommended now, in compatibility with YouTube (though bitrates are subject to change of course, and should be tested).

  • @Landsiedel9 Rich coming from a guy who has no videos posted at all. Wmv is the best format for youtube. I have rendered and uploaded over 300 videos to youtube on two different channels. Video for windows [*.avi], what's that you were saying about microsoft? There always has to be one jackass.

  • Lmao, sony vegas 7. Pretty outdated when I use version 11 >_<

  • @Thepyronfly That's normal for youtube.

  • can anyone help me? when i try to upload a video from my hd pvr. it says that it will take 8 hours to upload!!!! how can i change this?

  • @ALEX288PRO close all teh internets.

  • The only reason I came here is to figure out why it was only rendering the first few seconds of my video. Took a while to get that answer, but I learned a lot in the process despite this being an old version of Vegas. I love tutorials.

  • @petenicezz You rendering @ 60FPS? Coz thats what happens when you render a 30FPS vid on 60 FPS :P
