  • heh, i'm in eighth grade and we are playing this for a concert tonight. You guys aren't even nearly as good as we are, you guys should work on the trumpet part in the 40's. AND your Timpany's pitch and tuning is Way off. And way too loud right before the flute part. i play the flute, that part is soo hard. anyway it sounds okay...

  • @704ank That was a couple years ago. I'm not even in that band anymore.

  • what's the time signature on this? this may sound really stupid but im only at a seventh grade level, but i dont think that its in 6/8 or 2/4 in the beginning. i havent seen the music myself, but why is the third and fourth beat faster than the first and second? could someone explain this to me?

  • It's in 6/8+2/4

The eight note stays constant, but it's counted like both. So you count it like 123456 1&2&. It stays the same tempo, though.

I hope that helped. I'm not really good at explaining things like this.

  • Playing this for our Winter Concert.

I play flute oboe, but sometimes I play flute. I really enjoy the part when the flutes have that one solo when they trail up and then back down, and etc. The solo for oboe is really boring. D:

  • omg thanks for posting this video. i play the flute and we're playing this in my grade nine concert band, none of the flutes know how to play it, and our teacher wont help us, and all of us learn by hearing the music. thanks again this is really gonna help me learn how to play it kinda

  • @kaggy12 in my band we count in 10/8 its simpler

  • my junior high band played this at superstate in illinois and it is counted 123456 3+4+
