Rub Short Ribs with a mixture of
2T curry
2 T garlic powder
2 T cumin
Kosher salt and Pepper
Chopped carrots
Chopper garlic
Chopped onions
Chopped celery
Brown them in a heavy skillet (no need to cook them through). Remove them from pan, and add in the chopped veg. Soften onion, carrots, celery. Add ribs back to vegetables. Add a can of beer. At this time, you add dehydrated mushrooms with a quarter cup of water, if needed.
This will braise for about 2.5 hours (or more!), so it's perfect for a work-at-home afternoon. The effort is all at the beginning, and once it's all in the pot, all you have to do is let it cook, and then serve it over noodles.
