I'm just used to seeing Chiefs walking around and observing the entire incident up close.

Hello Chief, Excellent job in command. Great video. It is refreshing to see this
kind if professionalism and thoroughness performed on scene. You obviously
take great pride in your firefighters and your profession. Keep up the great work and keep yourself and the brothers safe out there. Just a side note : Not sure if you have seen the videos already but check out a you tube video series
called inside the CP (command post). Takes place in San Bernardino Calif.
You would enjoy his quality work.

Thank you. I learned of the Good Chief "maldersbfd" and his postings 2 months ago. Ive become a fan of his work and his videos are excellent learning tools for us young Chiefs. Obviously it goes without saying he's done a phenomenal job not just as an IC but making sure the guys are taken care of.

Are you guys required to stay in your vehicles

@A11SOMEMAN11
We're Not required to stay in the vehicle. It's beneficial to be in the vehicle for complex incidents and incidents that may deteriorate quickly. We have extra Chiefs dispatched for Safety. For large incidents a Command Vehicle is dispatched.
