I think Colorism is slightly overblown you see it in the media but in every day life all my friends had different skin tones and in my family and in school there was no drama over that stuff.
The reason people dont go to therapy about it is because there is a sense of shame in bringing it up. Of course it's not a problem for the men they arent really judged by their looks. She is right colorism is a taboo subject that disproportionately affect women.
