  • nice review, just stayed up all last night watching IRON MAN 2 actually. i've seen several reviews saying that the first one was better. My thought is that maybe the thrill factor is gone but the 2nd easily outweighs the first in terms of visual enthrallment. I'm speaking of course, about Black Widow. hahaa... was it just my slow computer monitor or did her fight scene have trails??

  • @allnaturalways Oh and yes, your monitor must be slow because there were no trails during the Black Widow fight scene. Believe me. I was watch very closely ;-)

  • But hey, it's a movie for kids.

But I do believe a lot of the negativity stems from the D.K. being the gold standard and people set their expectations way to high. What we have is amazing actors that make these movies great so that should always precede the CGI.

The best innovative gadget we see is the bottle from which Stark sustains his power. Wasn't that thing amazing??? I gotta get me one. :)

Have not seen either Black Christmas but I'm gonna start with the original.

  • @allnaturalways Great observations. I agree in that Iron Man doesn't have the depth that Dark Knight has and you know what - that's okay. In my opinion, that's what separates Dark Knight from your typical Hollywood fare. Now this doesn't mean movies like Iron Man 2 are any less enjoyable. On the contrary, it delivers exactly what is expected of a summer movie - wit, action, special effects, and big hollywood names.

Thanks, Chris, for taking the time to check out the new show!

  • 3.5 is a good rate for Iron Man 2. I recommend watching it in a IMAX theater. Scarlett Johansson fighting scene with that hot blue suit was one of the best. I am going back to watch the scene again;-). She is sexy and her future is bright. I also have to agree with changing actors in the sequel even though Don Cheadle did a great job.

  • @carlosapontejr Oh man, I bet it was nice on the IMAX! Hot blue suit in full IMAX glory! ;-)

Thanks for checking my new vid, Carlos and thanks for posting it on your Facebook. You're always there to support and I'm grateful to you for that

    :)

  • i'm not a comic buff so i can't really add much that hasn't been discussed already but if I hadn't had any of these underlying thoughts lingering, i would walk away from the film being thoroughly impressed.

What I could have used is a little more physical pain and suffering to break up the action sequences, similar to The Dark Knight or Revenge of the Sith or (enter heroic movie title here) but I believe much of this was eaten up by Tony's conflict within himself and with his father.
