"Si tu le veux, ô mon amour,
Ce soir des que la fin du jour
Sera venue,
Si l'on te demande pourquoi,
Mignonne fee.

She was knew to me as well. Though not such similar voices, Williams shared a similar groundbreaking path as the brilliant Mattiwilda Dobbs. If you are unfamiliar with her art, I recommend her to you.

  • An outstanding artist. The pathos and limpidity in her voice is so touching. .. R.I.P.

  • Lovely. She knew the "Art" of Singing unlike her counterparts on the professional (?) stage today

  • Thumbs up if your in Arts & Humanities

  • A great artist! Such a beautiful, lyrical, rounded sound!

  • Thankyou , I just heard from her today, because I saw in the news paper that she died at 93 years old. I very sorry for that. Great voice.
