1973 triumph flat tracker. First fire up on a completely rebuilt motor. Map 7075 billet rods, Map 10.5:1 Pistons bumped to around 11:1, Sifton 460 cams, Kibblewhite valves, Racing springs, Britech breather system, Bore Tech treated cylinder, ARD CDI magneto. I erred on the side of caution with this motor it could be much more radical. More video soon.

The crank in this one has been cryoed and nitrided, and when we were at Sedalia Missouri this year we were outpulling the xr's on the straights as well. That was a trophy i was overjoyed to get :)

Thank you very much, it's even faster now. Did a fair bit more massaging now it literally wheelies in every gear

Looks like you have a pretty stiff gear on the rear. I used a 56 tooth on short tracks and the standard 46 on longer tracks. The XR750 would out pull a Truimph on long tracks, but a good Triumph would more than make up for it in the turns and on short tracks the 750 Triumphs would eat a XR up. I never liked the way the XR's handled, seemed top heavy to me. You can build alot of HP into any Triumph engine, but the crank-shaft won't take the extra power for long, will break sooner or later.
