My first vlog. This was made on Sunday, though I didn't post it till today. It was completely unscripted, so forgive any stumbling.

  • You have a lovely...um...DALEK!

  • Why thank you! :D

  • Good to see a vlog from you, I always enjoy the reviews but of course it's great to see the face behind the google images. ^_^ And with straight hair! I'm ashamed to admit that it took me quite a while to realize what exactly was different. *fail* And I am quite curious as to exactly how fast your roommate was driving because I'm pretty sure it's not as bad as you made it out to be.

Also, you were a history nerd when you were a kid? Wow, I never knew. :P

  • My roomie was driving plenty fast. I actually wound up as the designated 'cop watcher' peering 'round constantly looking for police and praying we didn't get pulled over. Not to mention at one point where I almost slid under the dashboard when she breaked hard.

  • I've always been confused on what Steampunk is.

  • Steampunk is a bit hard to describe (mostly since it's still a developing subculture and there aren't many deffintive 'this is steampunk, that isn't' lines drawn in the sand), but essentially steampunk is a subculture and genre of writing, art, movies, music, ect, that focuses on the Victorian Era and it's mechanical and scientific aspects. Hence why us gear-heads have such a fetish for gears, cogs, steam, and brass, as all were used to create the beautiful machinery of the early industrial age

  • You are absolutely delightful! Love your enthusiasm and personality. What a lovely combination, not to mention lovely young lady! I'll keep checking in. Keep up the good work!

  • While not entirely definitive, but some good examples of steampunk can be experienced by watching Wild Wild West with Will Smith, Panic at the Disco's video for 'Mona Lisa', The Golden Compass (Steampunkish with a bit of magic), and Van Helsing who would be the Steampunk equivalent to Batman.

  • If you're going to pop your concert cherry, I can think of few better ways than Emilie Autumn. I love EA, and greatly regret not bringing my camera to the two times I saw her. (I have a really bad picture with her taken with my crappy old cell phone, but otherwise nothing.)

And if Voltaire plays anywhere near you, *GO*. Sell organs or family members if you have to. He is a *fantastic* entertainer. Absolutely the best $10 I ever spent.

  • Oh, V... I'm only catching up on your videos now, and this made my day. You look so purdy!!! And I must say your movements were ratrher Eddie Izzard -like... again it made me smile. Miss you!

  • Yeay. I was wondering wehn we would get to See you... you should show your face more in the review and mix in all of the interesting pics and stuff. That would be very awesome. And congrats on the loseing of the concirt virginity! My first was Fatboy Slim (aslo my rave cherry but whatever)

  • Thanks for the explanation! I'm gonna connect it to the Industrial Revolution in Western Europe, =D
