This is every version of the song "Mad World" on iTunes as of September 2007 in one track. I had no idea there were so many covers until I went looking. Apparently, this song is far more influential than I had ever realized.
In total, this is 28 different versions chopped up and re-glued together. Some bands have even done multiple versions (Tears for Fears themselves did two).
If should be noted that this "video" is intended as parody and should fall under the laws of fair use that support parodies (see http://www.publaw.com/parody.html ).
The entire list of artists is as follows:

The video is now annotated. Thanks to Gruvgirl for sending me a message requesting it (thus getting me off my duff to do it). The annotations are for the major contributors. There are minor edits and transitions from all of these artists, but some are pretty much indiscernible.

Cool stuff, I loved Ken Tizzard's and Gary Jules' versions of this song.

@Starrve You can tell I really liked Ken Tizzards version as well. The a'capella versions by Tonus Peregrinus and Speakeasy are kind of haunting as well.
