The last RWP event of this semester is (shamelessly) not about physics! However, it is a topic that most of the physicists care about. In our panel we shall have two sides: theists vs. atheists. Nevertheless, this discussion will probably be significantly different from any second of its kind. We are not interested in confirmation or refutation of religion by science. Instead, we borrow the definition of God from Abrahamic religions and investigate the self-consistency of that type of god! The atheist side will argue that the god of Abrahamic religions is logically impossible. Subsequent to the argument we shall hear the counter-argument from the theist side. Finally we shall leave 20 minutes to take questions from the audience.
Speakers on the atheist side:
Joseph A. Razavi
Sina Salek
Speakers on the theist side:
Howard Kelly
