The second amendment wasn't put their so Americans could hunt. It was put there so Americans could prevent tyrannical leaders from taking power and have the tools to do so. It's pretty clear! Governments will disarm you one inch at a time over years through small increments.Don't give them and inch.

People with no knowledge of our country have always posted that if China or Russia invades the US, they would destroy us, but completely fail to realize that they would be facing an estimated 40+ million households with firearms (around 230-276 million guns total). Like you said, there'd be a sniper around every corner. Their sweat shops wouldn't be able to manufacture enough body bags to keep up with their soldiers' rate of mortality.

@kronosgyros Your rights are fine...but when your rights impede my safety because your guns proliferate my border....then we have a problem. Because many (most?) of the illegal guns here are from your country and exchanged for drugs...that creates another issue- it fosters the drug infastructure here. We have Canadian guns here- lots of them! But the gangs prefer to use US guns b/c they are easier to get. Your "rights" are ill affecting Mexico and Canada.
