I'm contemplating getting a mixer similar to this one to DJ live. Can you tell me if the way you have that audio split will let me kill EQ's and things for individual decks in djay? Basically can I hook deck A into input 1 on the mixer and deck B into input 2 or do they both just go into the master? A tad confused so please reply. Cheers!

@baileydotdj Griffin have a splitter cable coming out for the iOS DJay software... or you can fork out for the new Numark iDJ live
You have the set up i have been trying to do for ages standard dj mixer and ipad i would be very greatful if you could run me through how it is all wired up and what the settings are in the app.
and do you have you head phone plugged in to your mixer or directly to your ipad.
thank you in advance

@wonkar243...The settings in the app are "Split Output Enabled"
In this video I have a collection of wires, connectors and type changers, that take the 3.5mm jack plug and split it into it's left and right components, then splits each of the channels into two (making a total of 4 mono channels (two left, two right), that are then connected into the mixer via channel 1 and channel 2. The mixer just works as a standard mixer, headphones plugged in, as though using TT's or CDJ's...

So there no one adapter u can use to split the signal with? Cue on onside of the adapter and master out with the other side?

@tkantone...There is a "kit" that is available from a German supplier on ebay for about £30, but as yet, I've not come across a one-box solution...but I do have plans to make a PCB based unit that will accept a 3.5mm stereo input and give two phono outs per side - duplicated mono signals for left and right (deck 1 and deck 2) for input into a mixer.

What is the stand you're using for the iPad?
djretcon 11 months ago
@djretcon...The stand is an eKit universal pad device stand that I picked up from Tesco for £24.97
