I don't know how and why I found this so interesting . . .

What kind of rice is used? Any flavourings or other ingreidents there, such as sugar or flour? Just rice? Very cool demonstration on how these things look like when they are working.

How does the machine change the rice into the dough-like consistency ?

@MickLawification , In the bottom in a gray part of this machine, there is a big wing.
This machine rotates the steamed glutinous rice by the wing and makes the rice cake.

Been looking on how to make home made rice dough to make char sui and lotus buns for ages. Peace from the uk

@ClarkesonTheMarksman , If the flour dough is steamed, it becomes a bun(=manjyu in Nippon). It can eat the noodle and the char-siu(=chashu in Nippon) by ordering the ramen :-)

@belovedpeartree , This machine cannot make bread. The latest machine can make bread and the omochi. My machine is very very old. However, it was used this year. :-)
