to me it looks like a katana not a wakizashi what was the BLADE length of that

dude you know what would make it sicker instead of putting that extra layer at the back of the blade straight you can make it a squiggly line to make it look cooler and realistic

A sheath is just a cover over the sword... and the handle is also a sleeve, but in a cylindrical shape with the hole for the rectangle handle, and also you need a pin that goes through all of them so it won't slide off (this is the design of the real one too)

No tape, and just make a sword out of wood, paper wastes your time :D
