God, she's so gorgeous. =D

damn...I'm jealous. I had literally just found out about her about a week after she had performed @ Bimbos. So I've been looking at her tour dates like every week since to see when she's coming back to the west coast. She finally is so I just bought tickets to see her this Feb. @ the Great American music hall. Can't wait.

I'm really glad this song made me buy her album. I haven't connected to new music in a while..

This phenomenal and strange music seems to be made by someone who might very well be channeling the spirit of Danny Elfman/Oingo Boingo, circa-1984, filtered through a post-Bjork sensibility.

i love how her music seems to capture the aesthetic of watching an individual perched on the razor edge between normalcy and insanity. you get the feeling that the last gentle push towards madness/psychosis/delirium just happened, and any restorative resolution is no longer possible. brilliant stuff, especially the disney/ultra-distorted-guitar dynamic.
also, she's hot.

I believe she actually wrote this song based on the movie "Badlands" so you're right about the horror flick part a little.
