This is a montage of the select inn destruction in Royal Oak, Michigan. This was a great time for my neighborhood and a great time for the city of Royal Oak. The hotel was a haven for crime and drugs.

I don't remember the Select Inn. I live on Benjamin and Carmen, so our no-tell Motels were the Kingswood, The Dunes, The Palms and the oh so expensive Oak Motel!

I remember that place in the 60s and 70s when I grew up in Ferndale. I'm in Houston, TX now. I would love to see more. Good work!

That place was right down the street from my house. The only bad thing about them tearing the place down is that it went down with a place I spent many years of my childhood at.
